Welcome to the County Museum Dundalk
The County Museum, Dundalk is located in a beautifully restored late 18th century warehouse in the Carroll Centre at Roden Place in Jocelyn Street. Funded by Dundalk Town Council the museum opened in 1994 and offers an extensive programme of permanent exhibitions, temporary displays, drama presentations, music recitals, lecture and film.
European First As County Museum Dundalk, installs a 'Virtual Presenter'
Up-to-the-minute technology and history are combining with the installation of a Casio Virtual Presenter in the County Museum, Dundalk.
The joint project by the Museum, Casio and Quick Response Ireland is the first of its kind in the country and the first such installation at a European museum. Internationally, only one other Virtual Presenter has gone into use, in Japan.
